GKJ Field Trip (21/03/2009)

Topic: English field trip.

On the 21st. of March, 2009, secondary students from grade 7 till 9 were taken for a field study on the literary elements of Drama. The core objective of this study was to create a cultural awareness for non native as well as native students of English... Here students will view artwork, write descriptions, have class discussions, create posters, create paintings, create sketches, create collages, write journal entries, write stories, compile results, and display their work and in the end create a drama for school show.

Concepts/Objectives of the field study:

  • Students will identify the elements of drama.
  • Students will explore how characters express feelings.
  • Students will compare and contrast two dramatic performances using some of the elements of drama.

Comparing Literary Elements of Drama

Students watch two dramatic performances and compare character development, plot development, conflict, and resolution in the two pieces.

  • Length: 90 minutes
