Answer questions on non-fiction material

In this section you will be given extracts to read and answer questions on. Read the questions carefully and make sure you give the exact information required.

Practice using front pages from two newspapers which are presenting two versions of the same news story. Read the two articles and then answer the following questions:

Compare how the story is presented in the two articles.

In your answer, you should comment on:

· The views expressed

· Use of language

· Layout and presentation

When you have completed the question, answer these additional questions on the two articles:

A Who do you think are the target audiences for the two articles? Explain how you know.

B What are the aims of the writers of both articles? How do we know this?

C How do the headlines affect the reader?

Grade 7b

This week, grade 7b students were given information about Gerund & Infinitives. After doing writing practice from book 3, students were able to work in groups in the library to discuss about Graffiti ( Is it a crime?). Students were given structured questions to prepare an oral presentation and a graffiti poster.

Grade 9

Students were discussing test paper questions and teacher was explaining some of the problems that the children faced.
