GRADE 9A (Period 5)- Unit-1 (Leisure and entertainment)

Topic: Focus on reading skills (leisure & Entertainment)- Unit-1 (IGCSE Cambridge text book).

Objective: Students learn new vocabulary from the unit and discuss about skimming and scanning and answering key word questions about a leaflet.

Assessment: Group work, discussing meaning of words, Skimming & scanning to answer

key word questions about a leaflet.

Objective:
1.Students learn how an adjective is connected to a Noun, an adverb is connected to a verb and how certain words change in relevance to grammatical forms.
2.Students work in a group to prepare a speech presentation;
Topic: Land development.
3.Students were reading and answering critical thinking questions.

Assessment:Structure writing, Vocabulary, Group work (preparing an oral presentation)and reading.

1. Students learn to discuss in English in groups.

Topics: people & Relationships- (Unit-12)

Objectives:Discussing comparative adjectives and Speaking skills.
Students learn grammar skills : the difference between Adjective and Adverb and comparatives (one,two and three syllabled words) and discuss in group for their oral presentations.

Assessments:
1. Discussion in groups and finally oral string presentations.
2. Grammar- Comparatives- writing work.
